Royal Scottish Academy

I am proud to post that I had a painting accepted into the Royal Scottish Academy (The Mound, Edinburgh) Spring Exhibition. The RSA is Scotlands most prestigious Artistic body and wall space is reserved for RSA members, with any free space offered to the best submitted non members. I submitted a piece thatis slightly differnt from the usual.
"Thermostat" harks back at the early male figure work I created post graduation, the violent abstraction helps emphasize the theme of confusion of male identity.
The show opens April 18th and closes 20th May.

New Works

2 new works. A smaller reworking of "La Mer", which is modeled on the cliffs at Arbroath, and "Sentinel", which is of Lorraine posing beside part of the old horse drinking well at the bottom of Victoria Street in Edinburgh.
As always all works for sale, commissions welcome.

Laurel Gallery, St Stephen Street, Edinburgh

I currently have 2 paintings showing at the Laurel Gallery, St Stephen Street, Edinburgh. http://www.laurelgallery.co.uk/page8.php?view=thumbnailList&q=&category=22
They are from the same series of work depicting the Edinburgh Winter Romance of friends Susie and Steven. (On the Royal Mile and Calton Hill.) Days after posing for these paintings they announce their engagement.
As always all works for sale and commissions very welcome.
